HOME-C2P2 at the 7th Maruzza International Congress on Paediatric Palliative Care
RomeHOME-C2P2 will be represented through 2 oral presentations at the 7th Maruzza International Congress on Paediatric Palliative Care, taking place 21–23 October in Rome. The 2 presentations explore complementary perspectives that are central to the HOME-C2P2 project: how care can be better supported at home, and how the experiences and needs of those involved in care can contribute to its development: "Mapping Stakeholder Perspectives on Home Monitoring in Paediatric Complex and Palliative Care" by Ana Paula Giordano from Value for Health CoLAB & "Adolescents’ Perspectives of Complex Chronic and Palliative Care across Home and Healthcare Settings" by Carolina Pedraza from Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona. Both communications highlight the importance of designing future models of Paediatric Complex Chronic and Palliative Care around the realities, needs and voices of children, adolescents, families and professionals.
HOME-C2P2 presented at the IX PEDPAL
TenerifeIn April 2026, the HOME-C2P2 team presented preliminary findings at the IX Congreso Nacional de la Sociedad Española de Cuidados Paliativos Pediátricos (PEDPAL), held in Tenerife on 9–10 April. The poster, led by Silvia Ricart Campos, Eddy Carolina Pedraza-Salcedo and colleagues from Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona and Value for Health CoLAB presented early results from the metro-mapping co-creation sessions carried out in the Spanish site. The work focuses on mapping home monitoring and follow-up models for children with complex chronic conditions, integrating the perspectives of patients (aged 12–21), caregivers, and healthcare teams across primary and hospital care settings.Preliminary findings highlight key themes including pre-discharge training, coordination and communication channels between care levels, trust-building, periodic re-training, and transition to adult services. The full analysis is ongoing. Stay tuned for further results.
